The story of LiLith-Fact or Fiction?

The name is first sourced from  500 A.D. Babylonian texts.  It has been said that the name and story of LiLith was removed from the bible and religious texts in order to keep the man’s system of patriarchy in order-in other words, to keep women subservient.

Also known as the first Eve, as in Adam and Eve. Rumored to be Adam’s first wife. Unlike Eve being made from Adam’s rib; LiLith was said to be made from the same “dust of Earth” that Adam was created from. LiLith felt like she should be Adam’s equal and refused to lie beneath him. Since she refused to be subservient to Adam, LiLith was banished from the Garden of Eden.

Three angels Snvi, Snsvi, and Smnglof were sent to persuade Lilith and bring her back to Adam, but she refused. Standing on her beliefs that she is equal to Adam. In turn, LiLith was cursed to be the mother to demons who would seek to kill Adam’s sons. After this Adam was given the submissive Eve and LiLith married archangel Samael; who later became known as Lucifer.

Because of Adam’s mistreatment and God’s insistence on slaying a 100 of LiLith’s progeny a day she began ruthlessly killing. She may have also turned herself into the serpent in the Garden of Eden. It is also said that she empowered her inhabitants of her sanctuary at the cost of her own exile and power.

LiLith is regarded in many different ways by the public. Some believe her to be a demon figure that brings chaos and disease. However, today she is commonly known as a symbol of female independence and defiance against the patriarchal structures and stands for transformation and change.

It’s hard to say if any of this is true and for obvious reasons I could not find a definitive answer.
